PDT-8 Personnel Deployment Transport was a mini-rig vehicle released in 1981 as part of The Empire Strikes Back collection.
Description
The PDT-8 Personnel Deployment Transport was a small, two-man vehicle used by the Rebel Alliance. It was developed as part of Kenner's Mini-Rig line, and was discontinued after 1982. Originally, the PDT-8 was conceived by Kenner as a transport for droids. It was first called the "DPT-8 Droid Personnel Transport", but the name was changed before the toy was released.
The transport had two open spaces that could be used to transport people or cargo, and featured two large jet thrusters at the side, in addition to two small blaster cannons.
